Pocket Piano App Reviews

As good as a ipod piano can be

If youve had problems using this piano, its just that you dont know how to. When you do you will find the endless possibilities it has. I am a piano player and I dont expect to replace a real grand piano with this. That said, it is the best tool to save your ideas while on the go. You can record, transpose the very responsive keys, change the look of it, get bigger keys, smaller keys and it is by far the best sounding piano sound in the "i" world. Keep up the good work!

Doesnt seem to work with 2nd gen iPhone

OS 3...no sound. Previous version was OK but this update and my iPhone appears problematic.

Very good

Ive bought a lot of piano apps, about 4 of em and I use this one more than any of them, can play zelda, hulk theme, mario and other tunes

Amazing!!!

I bought this thinking it might be okay, but guess what? It was great! Fantastic, even. And I have only had the app for like 5 minutes, LOL =) Im a marimba player and dont own a marimba. Now I have something to use to practice my music on when Im not in class!

Well...

You should be able to make tracks instead of only listening to the recording once, and be able to create multiple tracks playing at the same time

Pretty much as good as it gets.

This is about as good as a piano app can be on an iPod Touch/iPhone. The only suggestion iwould make is putting an bar under the keys than you can flick/slide to navigate the keys faster. I am pleased with this app.

Meh.

Two octaves? I wish I read that before I wasted a dollar... Though, that was my fault, so I wont give a bad rating, though the "small keys" are a bit awkward to use and NOTHING fits in one octave, so you have to use it. the way scrolling is so inconvenient makes you dependant on the small keys or that weird organ look

This is the most AMAZING app in the world! Who could not want it. I dont understand how anybody could give it a 1-3 star rating rather than a 4-5 star rating!

BOO!!

WORST APP EVER!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! IT ONLY HAS LIKE 7 KEYS!!!! WORST

I love it... But...

Im a high soprano and needed higher notes to pick out my descant parts - please do an upgrade with more high notes. Also, a phrase sometimes covers more than a measure and I could use a faster/ easier way to quickly move the keyboard up or down. But I really do enjoy being able to find my notes on my own without asking the director or pianist to play them again - thanks!

Huge mistake buying this.

Listen. Buy Virtuoso Piano instead. It sounds much better and there are more keys. I just waisted .99 cents on something I didnt want.

Just What I Have Been Looking for

The app. will not replace real piano but it great for entertaining ideas for Songwriter. When I have a break at work, I use this app to record on great ideas. Love it!!!

DONT BUY

this app is a complete waste of money, i bought it and was VERY unhappy with the results. The high C (key way on the right) will not work unless you press it a thousand times. I played the piano for a really long time and think that the sounds dont sound like a piano at all, if you still want to buy this, first get the virtuiso piano free and try it out, it has much better sound quality and doesnt have problems pressing the keys. This was the biggest waste of 99 cents in my LIFE

Bad!!!!! Dont buy!!!!!

This app is a total waste of money. It doesnt sound like a piano at all. BUY PIANO VUTUOSO LITE!!!!!

Good

If you want real piano sounds then buy a piano. I like this app way better than virtuoso piano. More flexible.

Genius for a songwriter

Record ideas, practice eartraining, pick out melodies, write a song when no one is looking. Brilliant app, best piano app for iPhone. Work on your music anywhere for only $.99? Genius

Mr.

As a songwriter I need something quick and on the spot to work out progressions. The pocket Piano app is just the ticket, fast, simple, and lets me record the idea.

Dont buy

Im pretty unhappy with this application. Cons: - The keys at the very edges of the screen wont work unless you press them a bunch of times. - Small keys - only 2 octaves - doesnt sound like a real piano - some keys have a higher volume than others Pros: - Double Keyboard - Different settings for sizes of keys (all keys are extremely small though)

Okay, but not super

The keyboard doesnt go higher than high C, so the range is limited. This is a problem in several ways. First, most songs go higher than high C. Second, move to a different key, then you have to go lower, which it does, but this is not desirable if you need the higher register. At times, the high C doesnt sound when you press it. The two keyboard feature is good.

I like it

I really like it. It works well for me. Of course it doesnt sound like a real piano. But think about it. Compare a piano with an iPod. How could a small little electronic make the same sound as a huge grande piano. No offense to the people who do not like it. I think its worth the money. :)
